Official launch of Factry at C2 Montreal

Montreal, May 24, 2016—This morning, more than 300 guests were on hand for the official launch of Factry, Montreal’s school of creativity.

Attending C2 Montréal, Factry’s co-founders, Philippe Meunier, Marie Amiot and Hélène Godin used the opportunity to announce the creation of a unique training centre in Quebec with a mission to forge creative minds to find innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. This world-class campus will promote interaction between bright young minds, the creative industries, the business world and the community. The first continuing education courses aimed at professionals will be offered in the fall of 2016, in the Quartier de l’innovation.

The idea for Factry first came to Mr. Meunier many years ago. It has now become a reality thanks to the two founding partners: the Association des agences de communication créative (A2C) and Collège Sainte-Anne. Over the past 12 months, a number of associations and professional corporations have also lent their support to the project, in addition to major business partners that have enabled Factry to take shape.

Factry, has already introduced a first college-level program focusing on creativity. A first cohort entered the program last fall, and 60 new students are expected this September. At the university level, École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is interested in working with Factry to quickly develop a program focusing on creativity.

Soon to be established in the Quartier de l’innovation, Factry will offer its creative training workshops for professionals to local and international professionals.
